Hi all, I would think that overall weight is important, weight matter wether going uphill or along the flat, the more weight and wind resistance the more energy required to drive that bike, sure rolling resistance of the tyres and friction of the drivetrain also come into that equasion as well, sorry about the spelling.
Wheel weight having the centrifical/flywheel effect does affect handling as well as engergy required to drive, one could babble on for hours all about this I am sure, and there would be so many different ideas as well, so I guess we will be in for some good reading over the next few days.........regards wayne davidson Invers NZ........
