Actually they should say "dural forge" and were indeed produced in the 50s to late 60s. Some web research indicates that the bronze (not brass) sleeves were replaced with plastic in the late 60s. Soon thereafter the engraving was changed to MAFAC "RACER"; with RACER indeed in quotes.

My 1966 PX-10E has "dural forge" brakes with bronze bushings. I also own two complete NIB sets of Racers. Except for the lettering they are externally indistinguishable from the brakes on the bike.
