A friend in italy has relayed me an offer for 4 Chiorda bikes that are still in their original boxes. My friend is not into bikes and therefore didn't know what to look for, but has passed on that he was told they are from the late 60's or early 70's. Apart from the estimated production date, the only info given to me so far is that there are two red ones and two blue ones and that they have Campagnolo derailleurs and alloy handlebars. Strangely enough, the boxes have a New York destination address.
Apart from the obvious precaution to check out that the derailleurs are not Valentino (which would seem unlikely with the alloy bars), is there anything else that I can get my non-bicycle knowledgeable friend to check? Does anybody know who in New York used to import Chiorda bikes?
