You might remember my earlier postings on the list, under a title something
like 'searching for a Cinelli'. I really agonized over this one but decided
just to let it pass because:
- it's at least 2-3 cm too tall for me, and for any other male of average
height. I contacted the seller shortly after the bike appeared on eBay to
check out the standover height. I could ride it but only at some risk if I
have to dismount quickly.
- the chrome is in poor shape and this is very hard to fix. The problems
don't show up that clearly in the eBay photos. However, this bike came from
Carsten's collection. You can see more photos on his web site,

I have been watching this bike since it was first listed, expecting somebody to out it to the list. Not only was it not outed, but it is also not attracting bids. Is this a case where the high starting bid scares people away? While the parts and the frame are not perfect, they are in keeping with the age of the bike. Perhaps there are a number of snipe bids all stored away with one of the numerous snipe services out there?
