As an aviation artist I build models of aircraft which feature in my artwork. My models are generally finished in the colours and markings of the original aircraft. The finished model is then clear coated with a varnish which seals everything and makes the decal edges disappear. It would seem to me that they would work equally well on a bike, maybe worth a try.
