CR list members,
Does your brother in law need a bike for Christmas that is way nicer than he is? Do you need a present for your wife that she doesn't really want but you think she should have anyway? Perhaps your son or daughter has been good, just not quite Cinelli good. Or, does your fried just need a good classic bike? We have just the thing.
American Cyclery has a selection of 1984 Casati Victory full Campagnolo friction shifting non-aero road bikes NEW OLD STOCK, IN THE BOX. These bikes were brought into the country around the time of the US Olympic Games in Los Angeles. These bikes were imported from Monza Italy at the end of an era for European road bike's dominance in the marketplace. These Casati Victory bikes represent the last of the great Campagnolo friction era bicycles. Although these do not compare to a Masi, Cinelli, or Colnago discussed on the CR list, they do represent the Classic mid-Lightweights from Italy.
These NOS NIB bikes are still in the original Italian shipping containers (non-UPSable) and are about 80% assembled. You can put one together in about 2 hours. If you want to really "do it right" it will probably take 5 hours. We normally ship them in newer bike boxes.
These bikes are worth a lot more if we just pulled them apart and sold the components separately, but they are too nice the way they are. Just look at this parts list.
