Dale, note this is posted only to the list, as you don't want "private" emails. I too have found your recent posts insulting. To state the fact that one has paid for goods not delivered is not "whining". To warn others of possible risks is not meddling. To allege that someone who takes money, delivers no goods, and does not respond to communications has committed fraud is not extreme, it is stating the obvious.
I started this thread when I became alarmed that the Term & Conditions for two auctions I had won stated that Carsten was closely connected to the seller. I asked if the problems with the Grab Bags had been resolved or if there was other reason the believe I would actually receive my goods. I am grateful for the answers to my questions. I don't think those initial responses were directed to you, and if you had no interest, you should have ignored them
It has been implied that Carsten had some personal problems which led to the Grab Bag scandal. If so, we all sympathize. We all know that things like eBay auctions can be neglected in times of personal crisis. But the responses indicate that Carsten has not yet contacted all the buyers to say he was having problems that preoccupied him and he would try to straighten things out. No one expects him to explain the details of his personal life, but a general statement like that would help a lot. Perhaps he has communicated with some buyers, but certainly not all. If he has lost the list of buyers, he could post here asking buyers to email their eBay notices of auctions won.
I think the responses have been mostly fair and balanced, and indeed enough people have reported receiving goods without problem from Cyclo-Network recently and communications from them promising to make good on the Grab Bags, that I have decided to pay for my items and even bid on another item or two to spread out the shipping cost. I may eventually regret this, but thanks to the generous responses from the list I feel I was able to make an informed decision.
I regards to people shutting up and leaving you alone. Everyone here reads posts they either don't agree with or have no interest in. Most of us have the good manners to ignore them or use the good old DELETE button. I personally have little interest in Masis or in whether the date code on the CR hub locknuts match that on the RD. But some members are very intersested in these matters. I don't post insulting messages telling them to shut up, I just delete the posts I have no interest in. If you insist that others post only those messages you both have an interest in and agree with, then you belong on a different list, one consisting only of yourself.
