I think the list would enjoy it, but by all means send it to me. Matt is/was a great all round builder in Swartz Creek (near Flint), and was the "tourist" frame maker in SE Michigan in the 70's-80's, while Nobilette in Ann Arbor was the "racer" frame artisan. Naturally both guys built bikes in both styles, but that's how we knew them. They were the "good" builders ridden by the cognoscenti in my nascent bike years, with an otherworldly Fattic spotted occasionally. I had heard that Mark had quit building and was concentrating on his retail store and doing some refinishing and repair work. A 62cm Assenmacher touring frame would be a great temptation to me---.

>Today I spent most of the day in Matt Assenmacher's back room browsing through his stash and talking about bike building. If any would like to hear more about it, contact me off line, as it would fill a lot of space.
>I also have a couple of photos of the green Assenmacher touring bike I just outed if anyone is interested I will send them.
