This really works (see below). I suggest Longaberger baskets. Those damn things really add up! Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio)

Hi all,

You just need to get your spouse addicted to something, anything! Then you will have the leverage to say "but I never complain about your *whatever it is*". I have my stuff & he has his. Just gotta be fair about the money-don't spend it if you really, honestly need it for house/family/etc. It's amazing what you can drag home then, if you both stick to those rules.

My husband is so addicted to model trains that now he's actually in the business. And yes, we go to that show in Timonium each October. It is big. But I show up late on Sat, after driving down from T-Town. It always seems to be the same weekend. So good luck Richard, trying to get Dick to the October flea market. Maybe you'll have better luck dragging him to the new April 12th one.

Snipped: I have tried to get him to go to the T-Town swap meet the last 2 years but he
has a big model railroad show the same weekend. Maybe I can get some of his stuff to haul up there next October.
