If you are going to use this as a rider,then outfit it as desired.
If you are planning to sell it,then it will max out with the proper components.

I would need to disagree with this. I have a 1978 Masi that originally came equipped with Universal brakes, Galli chainset and a few other oddities. In Italy at least, they were often sold by shops as frames that were built up to suit the customer's needs and budget. I agree that it is better to keep it all Italian, but I wouldn't be too concerned.
