The email medium is notoriously prone to misunderstandings because it doesn't convey tone of voice or facial expression.
I've never heard anybody impugn the honesty of the estimable Larry Black, and I don't think that was Bunny's intent either.
As I understood his message he was just warning folks that Larry has so much cool stuff to sell that one would easily be tempted to buy more than, perhaps other members of one's family would approve of.
I have this problem with book and record stores myself.
Of course I could be wrong, but I'm the sort of guy who generally likes to give people the benefit of the doubt.
