In the "spares" section of the 1960 Ron Kitching catalog, the 5 stud pad is listed under spares for the tandem brake. The 4 stud "solo" block is ref.64, while the tandem 5 stud is ref.664. They're still listed the same way in the 1981 edition. Now, in the '55 edition, there are 4 types listed, 2 solo (64 and 64S) and two tandem(64T and 64ST). No clue is given as to the difference other than a reference to the "S" suffix ones as "Super studded" (is this inappropriate for a family type list???) rather than just "studded". Anyone know?
