Do I assume correctly that slant-parallelogram Mavic ders (with which I am not familar) were developed for indexed shifting? If so, which indexing standard did Mavic use -- Sachs/Campy? Did the beauiful Mavic std parallelogram (NR-style) der live a few years into the index period? Does Mavic still market anything other than hubs/rims/wheels? (Based on my just-now web search, I guess brakes only.)
When did a Mavic group hit the scene, and how long did they stick around? The "starfish" crank always seemed dreadfully exotic to me.
