I'm sure this falls under the definition of an attaboy but what the heck. New lugs in 2003, this is a reason to celebrate. Congratulations Richard. The lugs look great. This is a huge contribution to the craft and I reckon you might sell a few bikes with those lugs also. I have a pretty good idea about the financial commitment a new set of lugs represents and it is quite significant. A bean counter might look at this business decision as unnecessary because of how long it takes to recoup the initial investment. While you are in the business of making frames for a living, I'm sure you didn't think about the investment that way. I see it as an investment in your business to further differentiate your already finely made bicycles. Way to go, you're my hero.
