Some have requested a reminder of the date and location for the Secret Surprise Ride. The Date is Sunday March, 16. We will meet In Solana Beach, CA at 9:30am at the "Pizza Port" on Pacific Coast Hwy (Hwt 1), exact address I don't have handy, but will get that soon. We plan to leave PP at 10am and head east on Lomas Santa Fe Rd. which heads directly into Rancho Santa Fe. We will ride out to the Roland Sahm estate and then head north through scenic RSF and all the way to Carlsbad where we will head west towards the coast. We will take Palomar Airport Rd. to where the original Masi Carlsbad facility is located. Perhaps we will conduct some sort of pagan ritual in the parking lot before we leave, heading south back to Solana Beach where we will suck the place dry of beer like they've never seen before. Pizza will fly, some of it may even land in our mouths! No beer goggles required, the women there will most likely be quite soothing to our sore and gritty eyes.
Everyone who is within distance is welcome to celebrate with us. This is really just an excuse to get together and ride and to see some "historic" Masi sites. For anyone who has never ridden in Rancho Santa Fe, let me assure you that the terrain and the landscape is breathtaking! Pergolizzi will LOVE these roads; just the way he likes them. Rolling up and down winding and twisting all over the place, lightly trafficed and nothing but beautiful homes and expensive cars everywhere. I used to ride thru there every Sat. for years as part of the weekly San Diego Bicycle Club rides. Please join us if you can. Ride a Masi in tribute if you can or want to, but come along regardless. Lookind forward to seeing all of my friends.
