You're sorry about it and then you go and slam Japanese makers again. I'll guess you've never seen or ridden a Sekai 4000 or 5000, Fuji Pro, or Miyata 912. I'll offer you a ride on my Lotus Superbe or Centurion Pro-Tour if you can make it to Santa Barbara in the next 4 months. Just like the Europeans the Japanese made a full range of bikes. The difference is most of the cheap European bikes stayed in Europe generally while Japan's made them overseas. Of the 30+ high end bikes I've owned the Japanese bikes have been just as nice as similar British and Italian bikes.
