Dennis - $3300 bucks for that Cinelli is too much by about 1000 dollars. That bike is worth 2500 ABSOLUTE MAX, and 1850 is more like it, really. It IS a beautiful bike, but the market is down quite a bit - as it is for vintage cars - in fact there is another Cinelli on ebay, not quite as nice as this one, at 1500 and no bid with 12 hours to go.

I watched the "Barratt-Jackson Vintage Car Auction" last week and noticed that the prices for most stuff were significantly lower than the previous high water marks. A ferrari "California Spyder" went for $165K, and a very nice GT40 for about $350K which is small potatoes compared to prices brought by comparable pieces just 3 years ago. I think the vintage bike market is influenced by general market conditions - all these things are purchased with discretionary income - and the dearth of buyers cannot help but have a downward effect on prices.

The starting price for this beautiful Cinelli is about $3300.00. No bidders so far, and four days left. I suggested to Mark Petry that he include it in his register as the number is given. I believe some organization is offering it, and no questions to the seller will be entertained they state. Also, no international shipping.

Size is 54. Anyone care to offer a date based on the photos.

Thanks, and photos at the bottom of the page.
