Hello, I have a Paramount track bike with serial #420, which I have estimated to be early post war production. Produced circa 1945-46, although I am not sure exactly when Paramount production resumed after WW2. You ask if your friend's Paramount is a Tourist model. In addition to being equipped with a S A gear system, it had tourist bars, seat, and pedals. Also fenders, and chainguard. A Sturmey with an "internal brake" was not original equipment. If the frame does not have the brazed on fittings for chainguard and fenders and has a drop handlebar set up, then it was a track bike originally. You don't say how the bike is set up. Value, of course, is based on it's original condition and the completeness of the original equipment on the
bike.
