Since the weather was a bit damp (although ridable as Harvey pointed out), the original 9:00 am start was rescheduled to 2:00 pm. Although I sent out a few emails that morning, need to come up with a better way to get the word out.., since the three riders who did the ride at 9 am would have been a nice addition to the group.
Anyway, Marty Walsh, Tom Roberson, Greg Thies and I met at the Caboose at 2:00 pm. Weather had cleared up quite a bit, and got nicer as the day wore on. Greg and I compared our Eisentrauts - even though one was a '73 track bike and the other a '76 road frame, the similarities were evident. Both bikes has similar lugs and an identical fastback seatstay treatment.
After that we rode from Vienna to Ashburn, had a bite to eat, and returned - with a lot of bike-geek (as Marty referred to us) conversation. Overall about 35 miles, although I ended up with a bit over 50 since I rode to the ride start.
