I left an ad on a cycling website for old bike parts but forgot to say I lived in the UK. As luck would have it, the only response I've had is from an American woman offering the following:
"I have a 1967 Peugeot with Reynolds 531 tubing. Original paint,all original parts but I took off cranks and wheels as rear wheel (tubular, DB spokes) has bent rim from tire peeling off in a corner and hooking on the brakes. No wipeout, just a long skid mark. I even still have the original seat on it. The components are Simplex. I have friend in town that bought the same bike as mine but he didn't ride as much. He still has his but stripped it to paint it. Never did paint it. Still has the parts. Let me know if you are interested."
Since I can't be bothered having this stuff shipped over here, I'll happily pass on the seller's details (with her permission) to anyone interested on a first come, first served basis.
I've no idea what she's asking for this bike and I'm no relation-unless she's a long lost cousin or something...
