Subject: [CR]Track rims on the road?

I picked up a used track wheelset consisting of Campy Record 36H HF hubs and Wolber Super Champion Arc En Ciel track rims. I bought the set mainly to get the hubs to use on my road going Cinelli track bike. I have to swap out the front rim anyway as I run a front brake, but is it safe to use the rear track rim on the road? I put about 60 plus miles a week on this bike and the roads in my area are chip-sealed and on the rough side. Appreciate any informed comments. Thanks.
