CRs:
I recall that Hilary Stone may have posted some CR remarks regarding Knight Cycles of Wolverhampton, but I'll add my own experience:
I had a Knight (24"/61 cm C-T) frameset from 1975-1976. It was my first racing bike. I bought it when I was a sophmore in college; the dealer had something that fit me and the price was right for my budget.
The frameset was built of Reynolds 531; it was probably all-brass brazed. The frameset had a high (11") bottom bracket. The forks had a very short rake and the fork crown was fully sloping. The seatstays were single taper 5/8" diameter. The seatstay caps were flat and ended in a point, and the caps were bent at the points to make the stays semi-wrap over. (This part looked nice.)
The inside face of the chainstay and seatstay were not flattened and which made rear wheel removal a bit fussy. I think that the dropouts were not Campy but possibly Gipiemme or something similar.
The only braze on it had was for a top-side chainstay cable stop. The frame was set up for standard reach Hex-nut brakes (I first used Universal 68s).
The frameset was completely optimized for criterium-style racing. I recall that it was a hard-riding bike.
Paint was single color enamel with peel & stick "decals".
I sold the frameset the next year and bought a Richard Sachs instead ($400 back in 1977!). To say WOW, what a difference! is an understatement.
