Just so all are aware:

According to the Andrew Ritchie book on Taylor (an excellent read by the way, Major Taylor: The Extraordinary Career of a Champion Bicycle Racer), there is the original edition of the book that Taylor sold out of the trunk of his car. And there was a heavily edited later re-release.

I have a beat up paperback copy of the rerelease, but have not read itthrough yet. My rememberance (again source is ritchies book) is that the re-rerelease is overly edited, while the original is overly rambling.

I suggest everyone interested pick up a copy of ritchies book which is excellent and concise.

Later
