On my Shogun 600 tourer, an 18 speed or so, I recall having a S. Deore rear derailler. I have not heard much discussion of these as wide range mechs. I admit my memory of S. Deore rear deraillers is vague- This was early 80's I think. I do know it had two blue (one medium blue, one light blue)V shaped stripes in parallel on the main body lika thisa: <<.

Does anyone know what was the largest cog and total tooth capacity of those babies? Did they shift as well as other long cage (at least I think it was long cage) Camp Touring Rally (slant parallelogram) deraillers and the like?
