Lads and Lassies - If you are not totally burned out from the cirque or
looking at pics of same, take a look at this.

A customer brought this in for me to sell for him. It is a Colnago Track
bike that he purchased from Mel Pinto in 1974, and was shown at the 1973 NY
show in the Mel Pinto/Colnago booth. As you can see, it is black with chrome
fork, head tube, and rear fork ends, and has pantograph steel Cinelli stem
(I've never seen one of these), panto 2-bolt SR post, polished and panto
cranks, panto chainwheel 52T, panto Nisi rims tied and soldered, Unica suede
saddle, Campy track hubs, headset, and pedals, alloy cog. Tires are history
but original. Size is 55 x 55. 10 stem. The bike has been moved around a
bit as the owner moved, but never raced and ridden very little if at all.
This is the most unique Colnago I have seen and I would own it in a heartbeat
if I could. The owner wants $3700 min and I will offer it to CR at that
price before placing on ebay. Any interest out there?
Sorry I could not attend the Cirque. Maybe next year.
