I love these arguments on how many angels can cycle on the head of a pin. My 1938 BSA sit up and beg bike with three speed hub gear, Resilion brakes and a full chaincase weighs 26 pounds. Oh, yes and it has steel cranks, steel rims, steel front hub and a large melodious bell. We have come a long way, haven't we? If I skip breakfast and lunch and ensure full evacuation of my bowels, I should get the total combined weight of bike and rider down to several thousand dollars worth of exotica.
