See thread from a couple of days ago about the Dakar Noir bicycle .

One of my postings had the link to the Sheldon Brown page write-up of the Vent Noir ( he wasn't actually the author of those few paragraphs ) .

Gosh yes those are beautiful frame sets !!

Say , it wouldn't happen to be about 24-inches = 61-cm , center-to-top , would it ?

I just dug a lovely little bike out of 25 years of basement storage to save it being converted to a "Comfort Bike". It is a late '70s Austro-Daimler Vent Noir II in what the original owner told me is a "smoked chrome" finish. Gorgeous lugs. I know very little about German bikes and would appreciate any input folks might give on or off list.
