ADP: I have a Rally rear and I have a mostly unused 1984 NR rear. It *looks* like that long cage will come right off the Rally and go on the NR...? This would be too cool!

HS: Chris Beyer's estate has such a derailleur, which will be sold in the near future. When I took the pix, I was not sure if this was a funny label by Campy, or a "marriage of convenience" such as Ann proposes. I wonder if it would work even as well as a Suntour, which has major advantages in the way it tracks the FW while shifting...

ADP: I'm trying to shift a 13-32 seven speed rear with 42-52 front. Yes, I know this is low gearing, but I'm envisioning riding this bike on some local centuries in N. GA that involve our famous steep creekbed climbs. What is the general opinion on the Sachs Aris Freewheel?

HS: I've had a bit of a feeling that I didn't get the wear I expected on the cogs I used most on my commuting bike, but this is pure conjecture.
