Hi CR Listmembers, I'm selling off one of my collection, I will be able to send digital photos if you are seriously interested. 1975 Motobecane Grand Record, complete, original bicycle(less toe clips and straps) with metal headbadge. Frame size is: 56.5 C-T-C seat tube and 57.5 C-T-C top tube.Frame material is Reynolds 531 double butted (frame and fork) with Campagnola long rear dropouts, with eyelets. Catalog listed weight is 23 lbs. Frame has no braze ons except for a stop for d.t. shifters. Shifters:Campagnola clamp on down tube shifters with a clamp on Campagnlo down tube cable guide (at bottom bracket). Simplex cable clamps for rear brake cable (on top tube). Campagnola Nuovo Record Pat. 75 (1975) rear derailleur.Campagnola Record (no lip) front derailleur. Crankset is T.A. Professional 52-42. Atom five speed freewheel 14-26. Chain-Sedis Saddle: Brooks Professional with small copper rivets. 1975 (Cantle plate is stamped B 75) The saddle is a little dry and has some cracks, I have only put Brooks proofhide on the saddle, no oil! Much life left in this saddle. Seatpost: S.R. (not Campagnola, rather a Japanese alloy seat post from that era) . Brakes: Weinmann 999 Center pull with quick release de luxe fitting. Wheels:Normandy Luxe Competition hubs, with quick release skewers. Super Champion alloy, high perforamance rims, 36 hole. 27" X 1 1/4" Michelin Elan H.P. gumwall tires Handle bar and stem: PHILIPPE Professional with Motebecane plastic plugs and black cotton bar tape. Headset: STRONGLIGHT Competition. Pedals: Made in France (no marking other than Made in France). Listed as Atom pedals in the catalog. Color:Original paint: black enamel with red highlights and gold pinstripping.Has original metal riveted Motobecane headbadge showing M logo and wings (FRANCE). I would like to sell this as a complete bicycle! The only original parts missing that I can determine from the Motobecane catalog are the toeclips and straps. The overall condition of this bicycle is: GOOD. The finish on the Campagnolo parts is very good. I am not the original owner. I purchased it three years ago and has been sitting in my climate controlled basement. Cost $275.00 plus shipping and insurance. Comments welcome! A list member sold one on e-bay just before Cirque 2002 for the same price. It was in a much smaller size and not nearly as nice as this bicycle I.M.H.O. ! The "Grand Record" is third from the top of the Motobecanes in the 1975 lineup.
