I'm probably don't belong in this rarified atmosphere, but I'm getting back into this after a 20 year hiatus. I have an 80's Colnago that I recently bought on eBay and built up with modern Campy. I ride it everywhere in St. Paul, and take it on longer rides with a couple of cycling buddies. I'm not a competitive rider. I do, however, have a passion for vintage lightweights. In the 70's, in High School, I rode an old Claud Butler fixed gear track bike (30's) with no brakes and M71's around Manhattan before it was popular. I found the bike (with all period components) in the basement of a bike shop. I had a 1976 Colnago Super pista which I rode more sparingly, and owned it until foolishly selling it 2 years ago. I bought that one at the age of 17 out of the window of Conrad's bike shop in NYC. I just tried to buy it back, but to no avail. Anyhow I'm back in the market for vintage track and road stuff (51-53cm) and I'm learning a great deal from this forum. I'm seaotter1 on ebay. Thanks, Tobias
