Peugeot and Citroen would be my guesses without having seen the car, but after looking at it I'm pretty sure it's not either. Citroen styling at the time was very different, and in any case the grill lacks the typical Citroen markings.

Peugeot at the time was manufacturing the 202, 302, and 402--very different styling, with the headlamps behind the grill rather than in the fenders. The auto in question looks more along the lines of a 203, which wasn't shown until late 1947.

So . . . I have no idea what the car is. There were other French manufacturers at the time, but I don't know what their models looked like. (Panhard? Simca? It doesn't look like a Renault. . . .)

But Aldo's got my curiosity up, for sure!
