I'm curious about whether or not those little tabs actually represent a QR mechanism or not. On several lower end bikes I have which are equipped with Weinmann or Weinmann type levers the 'cheater' brake extensions fit in there and if you remove them the little tab swings down to cover the gap. Any other thoughts? Dave
