I know I held rims from Mavic , both GL & GEL , in my hands , in 1984 . But , I don't know how new they were at the time . I'm thinking that they were available in 1983 . But , can't say for certain .

Hey David , did you mean that they were NOT in the 1981 catalog , but they WERE in the 1984 catalog . . .

Or did you really mean that the 1984 catalog shows them actually starting ?

Was there a anything like , "New!" , "Introducing!" ?

Or were they just there ?
