Bob, If you are not going to change any of your freewheels then I would add the additional spacers on the non-drive side. This will keep your freewheel(s) at their current distance from the dropout/seat & chain stays and maintain your current chainline. This will also place the hub flanges closer to being centered between the locknuts and after the wheel is re-dished (which will be necessary)the wheel will have less dish than it had before and will be stronger laterally.

The only reason I can think of for adding spacer(s) to the drive side would be if you were going to use a wider freewheel (i.e. going from a 5 to 6, or 6 to 7 etc).
