.Pat Hanlon's cycles was originally at 179 High Road, Tottenham a stones throw from the Hetchins shop. I can still remember the telephone number STA 9365. Moved premises in 1963 to 175 High road Tottenham. It was my Saturday job as a schoolboy with "The Six Hills CC" to ride the 32miles to her shop in Tottenham to collect the new tubulars for our club man to race on the next day. If there were any club wheel repairs needed we use to fit sprint carriers to our bikes and she would repair them while we waited. She was a wonderful kind lady to the Six Hills schoolboys and a very good wheel builder famed for her 24 hour wheel building service. Pat Hanlon frames were not made by her, for a long time Tom Board worked in her shop and made her frames. It was also rumoured that the very fancy lugged Hanlon frames were made by Ephgrave. One of her most popular frames was the "Ultralite." Sadly Pat Hanlon died recently. If Pat didn't have the tubs in stock we use to pop round to Jack Baguley's does anybody remember him at his Stoke Newington shop? Another wonderful character.
