Whoops! Checking the archives it was Harvey Sachs who explained that one flange on, I suppose, the rear, Paramount hub is threaded.
In the same series, Ken Denny advised a hot oil bath to seperate the parts and I cautioned both about the flash point of hot oil and keeping the temperature of tempered aluminium below 300 degrees F so as not to soften it.
