I'll make this real quick since this stuff it totally OT and not even K.O.T.F style. This was finish Campy inflicted on C-Record and Cd'A(?) in '89-'91, I think. The finish was to make a nice distinct look that wouldn't "out shine" the frame or show wear and dirt as easily. The problem was it looked like crap and sold really poorly. I was offered a FULL boxed C-Record group from a distributor in @'94 for something like $200, I passed. I also blame this finish for Campy's continuing decline in the late 80s. I remember shops giving the parts to their racers or shop rats since no one would buy them. I do know a couple people who like the look, but to each their own. If it was actually blue it might have sold well, but "smoke". . . really what were the designers smoking? enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives SB, CA
