The cranks shown on that bike are made by, (at at least stamped as) Ambrosio.

Thanks to everyone on this email list who has been so helpful to me over the past 3 months. For this, I am going to pass on some "insider" information that I have decided not to exploit.

Here are pictures of the "other side" of a colnago, currently sitting on ebay for $405.00, auction ends in 10 hours. It has the unusual 6-arm crank made by campy. I was told by another colnago collector that these cranksets are rare and much sought-after. Here is the item number for the associated bike.
item # 3620569214
I was looking for a bike with a 52-tooth crank and stumbled upon this information by accident. kinda like the NOS schwinn paramount, $300.00, "camping equipped", that i stumbled upon in the newspaper in 1980. The seller estimates that shipping to the USA would be $70 - $100 US$.
