Eric- I tend to agree with Jerry's input. However, I diverge a bit when it comes to the AL-alloy quality used by OMAS. It was certainly not as hard as Campy, GPM, let alone Shimano or Suntour of that era. I found out the hard way that you could scratch the surface of crank arms merely by using your fingernail. I did however, have great luck with their Ti-BBs. Cheers, Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT

OMAS made some really "trick" stuff in the early 80's. They were a
specialist in Ti before it became common. They were rumored to have made
stuff for Campy. All the OMAS stuff I have seen was absolutely top quality.
