I am new to the list. I have a question regarding the paint scheme on a white 1964 Schwinn Paramount [V24]. I recently purchased a bike from the original owner who confirmed that he did nothing more than to repaint the frame a number of years ago. He confirmed that the frame was re-painted exactly as it had come from the factory back in 1964. The oddity with respect to the paint scheme is that only the drop out ends are chromed instead of the usual 6 or so inches of the fork and chain/seatstays. The frame has been striped in red with matching red stripes around the chrome ends. Has anyone ever seen this particular scheme on a Paramount of this era? By the way, the bike has all original equipment to the extent that the previous owner appeared to have just removed the parts, repainted the frame and reinstalled the parts. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,
