As far as shifting one, it's doable on the road as long as you are careful to time shifts for stretches with long distances between intersections and driveways. I only have about 150 miles on it so far, it does get easier with practice. It will flat blow the minds of the couple riding behind you on Ultegra-equipped Serottas!
