Masi Fans:

Concerning dates: MC57 423 sounds like 74/75; too early for Eisentraut.

The red one has a braze-on front derailleur and a full-slope crown; I suspect it's out of the CR date limit.

The red one has M55 on the bottom bracket shell. Has more modern brakes and new winged style Cinelli bars - so they have been replaced.

The Silver one I think is interesting in that it has MC57 423. I think it is an early Ca frame. Note the signature on the top tube is to the rear on the left. This was changed as the brake cable would rub against the decal. Owner told me he has 3ttt handlebars - didn't early Masis come with these? I believe it might even be an Eisnetraut frame because : Stars and Stripes decal is pretty high up on the seat tube something common to Eisnetraut frames and inside of the triangle on the rear dropouts has not been squared off.

Am I on the right track? -- Wish Mr. Baylis could chime in, but I think his computer is down?
