G.S. bar end shifters don't have the chrome locking nut on the central screw,
and there is a locknut clearly visible in the picture. Bikes like this showed
up for sale in the 70s bike boom, as importers went through Italy clearing
out old stock parts and frames to sell into the hot US market. My guess would be
that this is, at newest, an early to mid 60s frame, still with the 1950s
style seat clamping collar. A close inspection of the G.S. rear derailleur to
determine which of the 4 black bolt variety gears it is, would likely yield a
probable date of assembly. The equipment looks very similar to a 1961 Bianchi I
have, except for the Nuovo Tipo hubs (70s pieces). The wheels and brakes may or
may not be original.
