The internal races are smaller and the O.D. of the lug is also slightly
larger, the wall containing the race being slightly thicker. It is a fact. Those
frames (that I have verified, there may be other years) were made between 1970
and 1972, the serial number on the right side of the lug being 17x with the
other three digits on the left side of the seat lug. The frames can also be
identified as having a diamond shaped reinforcement on the brake bridge.
