Sounds like a nice bike. Probably from 1973 or 1974. I own a Tour of Britain, #6656.

Some time ago I'd have said nearly any decent Jack Taylor was worth at least $800 to $1,000, if not more, but I now suspect that was simply a fantasy on my part. Unless my brain is going more soft than I hope (a distinct possibility, I admit), I seem to recall seeing several nice Jack Taylors go for less than $500 or so on eBay over the past year.
