Hmm, Roland Csuka died in 1994, and he worked until the end (see Ernest Csuka interview in Vintage Bicycle Quarterly vol. 1, No. 1 (Summer 2002), p. 13).
So either the bike isn't Roland's last, or it isn't from the 1980s. The serial number will show the date - in 1990, they had arrived at 2900 something. So I'd expect another 100 to 150 were built before Roland's death.
However, I'd like to know the story - how was it established that this was Roland's last? I know Grant Handley used to claim that the bike he had ordered was the last one Roland built.
Of course, you may ask - does it matter?
