I agree. I remember seeing "economy" chainring set like that in late 60's in Japan. I thought it was a really waste to throw away a whole crankset when the alloy (cheap and soft) ring worn out.
Whoever bent the fork, he intended to absorb whole stress on a spot??
It is by any means NOT worth buying for 1,100.00 dollars!! (starting bid?)
