Lee,

I've never seen the describtion of the tool; but as far as I knew the straightedge is to aid in checking the chainline of the drivetrain. It is slipped between the front rings and laid on the center cog (of a 5 spd FW) to check for straightness.

The full Campagnolo Tool Case contains Tool "G" (a 50cm x 2.5cm steel straightedge with a 1cm diameter hole at each end) which Catalog 17 says is "Straight edge for the alignment of the rudder pedals". (Catalog 18 says the same thing.)

OK, Guys and Gals... what are "rudder pedals"?
