I have limited resources: time, money, space. So for me it's hard to justify having a bike I can't ride. There are a lot of old bikes out there yet. Not that hard to find old production bikes or frames from the bigger builders given sufficient time and patience. But on the other side of the coin I realize that some folks are dealing in the super rare and if you don't buy the one you find there may not be another.
