Subject: [CR]few words about Confente

I am most likely the least knowledgeable of any of you on this subject. It is for that reason that I must chime in. First the last few days worth of postings should go on the Greatest Hits of the CR. Not only have I learned a lot but the cross borders viewpoints are priceless. I look at the Confente on the CycleArt for sale site and drool, yes it is my size. Of course I know that this statement alone puts me in low regard beyond the US border but hey I've been in the dog house before and a lot closer to home. I am equally intrigued with the question of value. As with beauty, the eye of the beholder is a personal thing. After all one can look at a diamond and see a clear piece of carbon. Give that diamond to someone in royalty or perhaps one of you and you would squirrel it away or cash it in quickly. Give that same diamond to bushman in the middle of some undeveloped region and perhap it will fascinate him for a while. Sooner or later if he can't eat it, or use it for a tool then it becomes just another rock. So to anyone beyond these borders where MASI and Confente bikes are not cherished should offer yours up for a trade or sell them off on ebay and make a few bucks. This is a good way rid your countries of those valueless awful bikes. You can also have some good strories to tell at the pub on how you put one over on us crazy yanks.

Oh and Brian, I love it when you talk MASI !
